thank you. this was on Sunday. i was just in town visiting family so i'm not totally up to speed on the dog's nail situation. they were talking about it, something about veins, but i don't recall all the details.
if you cut a dog's (or cat's) nails too short, it can hit the quick. it has a lot of blood flow in it, and it's very painful for the animal if you clip it. the only way to stop the bleeding is to use styptic powder. not fun. anyway, random.

and does your dog have an issue with you cutting its nails? one of mine does, and he sounds like he's tap dancing when he goes in the kitchen, haha.
